1866 Auckland Museum

Auckland War Memorial Museum is New Zealand’s first museum and tells a story of NZ – it’s people and place. Our discussions with the museum’s Digital Strategist, Nils, began in early 2014. Soon after, we used actors provided by the museum to create a 360-virtual tour with audio for embedded video footage. This tour archived a favourite exhibition at the museum and allowed visitors to continue viewing this fabulous exhibition in a digital sense. We’re proud of our work with the museum, archiving imagery is a regular project, along with exploring new ideas on the horizon.

“Working with the team from P3D was a breeze. We felt well taken care of throughout the entire process, which was especially comforting when it came to working through the challenges that come with a building as complex as ours – and Auckland’s notorious weather! Already, the interactive panoramas have shown to be a valuable sales tool to promote the Museum’s venue hire spaces.”
